Music contains many elements such as composition, singing, playing and listening. These elements are influenced by the senses, perception, emotion and the heart. We performed the Minnesota Multiphasic Personality Inventory (MMPI) test on 120 women college studests and examined their music tests. The music tests included music theory and piano playing skills. The results of the music test and MMPI score demonstrated significant relationships, especially the F-score (falsehood) and music theory tests registered p=0.05, the Re-score (social responsibility) and music theory tests registered p=0.01, the Hy-score (hysteria) and music theory tests registered p=0.01, the Scscore (schizophrenia) and piano skill tests registered p=0.05, respectivly. These results demonstrate that music can identify the character of women college students.}, pages = {97--103}, title = {音楽とMMPI}, volume = {24}, year = {1995}, yomi = {マルヤマ, キョウコ and タナハシ, トクシゲ} }
