 note = {Edmund Burke's reputation reached its zenith in the summer of 1780. Even the king commented very favorably on Burke and wanted to see him come into office. But Burke's hold upon Bristol was very shaky. During 1778-80 Burke's relation to his constituents deteriorated sharply because of difference in policy on the Irish problems. My main concern in this paper is to consider how Burke dealt with the Irish problems and how it closely connected with his loss of Bristol constituency.},
