Sarveys of the state of daily eating habits were conducted on the female freshmen at Gife College of Education in May and November 1981. The findings can be summarizeel as follows : 1) Nutiritional intake : The intakes of energy, Ca, Fe, and VitaminB_2 Were insufficient, and the intake of VitaminA were in surplus. 2) Intake of each foodstuff-group : The intakes of grain and potetoes, soybeans, vegetables and fruits, seaweeds, and milk etc. were insufficient, and sufficent was that of sweets. 3) The ratio of animal protein in proportion to all the protein taken was high, which was above average in Japan by 9.2%. 4) Staple food : for breakfast, rice 2 : bread 1 for lunch, rice 3 : bread 1 : noodles 1 for dinner, 90% of the girls had rice.
